A fascinating new study published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine has delved into the preferences for penis size and shape among cisgender and transgender individuals. The study, which surveyed 74 participants with an average age of 35.3, revealed intriguing preferences that could reshape our understanding of body image.
Men prefer an ideal flaccid length of 4.5 inches and an erect length of 6.3 inches. Women prefer slightly longer lengths, favoring a flaccid length of 5.2 inches and an erect length of 6.16 inches. Interestingly, women’s responses varied more widely than men’s.
The study also highlights the importance of giving patients undergoing genital gender-affirming surgery the option to choose their glans shape. This option not only improves aesthetic results but also boosts patient satisfaction.
This research breaks new ground by being the first to evaluate these preferences among a diverse group, offering valuable insights that can help in the medical field and beyond.
